Kite-Surfers-at-Table-View

Woohoo so the South Easter is here with a blast. This is commonly known as the “Cape Doctor”. It is the south easter wind that blows away cobwebs and all kinds of pollutants in the Cape air, leaving a very fresh (if not windblown and sometimes sand blasted) Cape Town. When the wind blows (more and more each week) the sea looks like it’s been whipped by that devil on Table Mountain, seahorses leap through choppy water – kite surfers & windsurfers do some amazing and mind-blowing acrobatics across the bay in Blouberg. You can just imagine that old man Van Hunk sitting on top of Devil’s Peak, puffing away at his pipe and laughing at the choppy sea. The energy is amazing. The windsurfers and kite surfers love it. The taxis sway in the wind, the women wearing skirts and the men with hats hang tightly on to their clothing and headwear. Tall slender palm trees dance from side to side and the Pelicans wheel and soar gracefully in the wind currents. The Cape gets buffeted from all sides (mostly south east) and the seeds from those gorgeous colourful flowers get scattered, as is nature’s way.

Talking about amazing and mind-blowing. Last time I wrote I mentioned that we had some wonderful new packages. Well we do. There are many emerging entrepreneurs and to be honest, they are taking full advantage of our special offer.

If you are starting up a business or are in your first year of business and need help streamlining your processes, sorting out your admin, website maintenance or improving your social media presence, we are offering a fantastic rate! We are assisting the “Emerging Entrepreneur” with all those niggly things that can get in the way and prevent the business owner of actually going about their business and doing the thing they love!

We have also recently attended another Business Women’s Association Cape Town Chapter workshop held in the V&A Waterfront. As usual the BWASA Cape Town offers a fantastic value for money opportunity to network and listen to some remarkable and experienced advice. At this workshop we had the pleasure of listening to Robyn Hey (Chairwoman of BWASA Cape Town) and Thomas Van Zyl of Mazars, provide some thought-provoking tales about the “Dark Side of Business” – a Halloween special. As I say, incredibly informative! The next BWASA Cape Town meeting is going to be a Hats, Heels & Mountain Highs function on 25th November at Kelvin Grove – looking forward to that too!

Here at Virtual Concierge Services we have been really busy. Some interesting people we’ve recently had the pleasure of meeting and networking with are Melissa De Jager based in Edgemead. Melissa is an independent Real Estate Agent. Check out www.mdjproperties.co.za. The other interesting person is Mr Deon Small of Master Movers Cape – a relocation business growing from strength to strength (check out www.mastermoverscape.co.za). We look forward to exciting and busy times ahead with both.

On Wednesday it’s our intention to have another board meeting in Big Bay, providing the south easter decides to have a rest and lets us surf. If not I think I may head beach side with my kite and have some fun…
