Well, as promised previously – our wonderful surprise happened – the day finally arrived – we have a new website!  Virtual Concierge Services are delighted to officially announce the launch of our newly designed website – www.moretimeforyou.co.za!  Take a look around and let us know what you think.  We have taken significant time during this process to think through not only how we do business, but perhaps more importantly, WHY we do what we do, and HOW our services differ from anything else on the market.  VCS – More Time for YOU provide a prompt and efficient service, giving you MORE TIME to focus on what is important.

Hopefully you find the site easy to use, clean, and informative. If you have experienced any problems, please go easy on us! Tell us what you think by sending us your comment to info@vcsww.co.zaWith many thanks to Unwembi for all their hard work!

Last week autumn arrived in Cape Town.  The evenings got distinctively chillier and it rained!  Yes, you heard me, we had rain.  Not just a few drops, I think one night it was about 20mls.  So we did the “rain celebration dance” which basically consists of running out into the garden and clapping our hands and turning our faces up to the falling drops.  It was lovely.  I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to see rain, and true to my word, I did not once complain.  Then autumn seemed to disappear and summer has come back to visit.  Sunny golden warm days, no winds, high temperatures, it’s bizarre, lovely, but… bring back autumn and the rain please!

Walking on the Rietvlei last week we noticed the swallows swooping and swirling, saying their “au revoir” before they head off on their migration.  We saw a flock of Egyptian Geese flying towards Cape Town and watched as it flew around Devil’s Peak, and then towards Constantia.  I imagined the view as the birds flew over the southern suburbs.  Cape Town is beautiful at this time of year, her trees displaying their delicate orange, pink and yellow autumn colours like a sunset on a cloudy day.  Coming back towards Cape Town they would have a bird’s eye view of the suburbs of Cape Town city, and would, if they swooped over the foothills, spy a jewel by the name of Southern Comfort Guest Lodge, nestling in Oranjezicht, a suburb on the slopes of the majestic Table Mountain.

Myself and my partners at Virtual Concierge Services had the pleasure of meeting Maya Bremridge, the delightful and welcoming owner of the lodge.   Southern Comfort Guest Lodge features comfortably appointed modern Deluxe Double Bedroom ensuites, each with a private patio, but share a well-appointed outdoor swimming pool and pool deck, surrounded by a garden terrace.  We went up to the roof-top viewing deck and found the views enthralling! The spectacular panoramic views of Cape Town city centre and surrounded by the full range of Table Mountain, Lions Head and Devils Peak is available for guests daily to enjoy from sunrise to sunset, and especially when the moon and stars appear in the clear sky.  VCS definitely recommend the Southern Comfort Guest Lodge (www.scomfort.co.za) for a fabulous stay in Cape Town.  As a professional woman Maya realises the benefit of offering her guests as many facilities as possible and is very happy to be offering Business Services provided by VCS.  Sometimes, even though guests are enjoying their much needed break, business intrudes. We are available to assist!  VCS – More Time for YOU offer a full range of professional business services.

VCS help organise your life by offering services such as lifestyle management, business services and travel logistics.  By doing this we create more time for you.  In this respect we have been fortunate to recently meet someone else involved in the tourism side of Cape Town.  George Meyer is a registered Tour Guide, and has made it to the Top 100 Global tour guides as part of tourHQ’s 2016 Global Guide Awards.  George has also been nominated for the prestigious 2016 Lilizela Awards (the “Oscars” of the Tourist Guide Industry in South Africa).  George is Geotrac Guiding Services (www.facebook.com/geotracguidingservices or george@geotrac.co.za) and operates with a simple mission – to create a truly memorable and unforgettable experience for all guests who grace our shores.   As a freelance tour guide and “SA Specialist”, George Meyer aims to make every visitor’s experience truly outstanding!
